As an FPGA Prototyping Design Engineer at our wireless SOC organization, you will join a world-class engineering team responsible for developing highly energy-efficient silicon solutions. Your role involves integrating custom hardware accelerators and multiple ARM-based subsystems into SoCs while collaborating with architects and IP developers to meet power, performance, and area goals. You will define processes and tools for design implementation, develop methodology checks, and interact with the verification team to ensure comprehensive validation coverage. Key responsibilities include maintaining a common FPGA design platform, performing partitioning and synthesis tasks, debugging complex designs, and documenting each step thoroughly. The ideal candidate has experience in Verilog/SystemVerilog, CDC, and FPGA timing constraints, as well as familiarity with Xilinx FPGA bring-up and verification tools like Vivado IP integrator. Knowledge of wireless standards such as IEEE 802.11 and Bluetooth is beneficial, along with proficiency in Python, Tcl, Git/Perforce, and ARM processor firmware development.
