Join our dynamic team as a Flight Test Operator, where you will support the flight test operations of small uncrewed fixed-wing aircraft across various Altius programs. Your day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with system checkouts, flying missions, and providing feedback to enhance test engineering efforts. You’ll build and maintain autonomous aircraft, collaborate closely with Test Engineers on operational tasks, and assist in product installations at test sites. Additionally, you will manage office supplies, inventory, and equipment maintenance under the guidance of the Site Manager. This role requires RC or PIC experience with fixed-wing commercial and defense Group 2 aircraft, FAA Part 107 certification, knowledge of flight controllers, and strong communication skills. Familiarity with LiPO/LiON batteries and a background in aerospace engineering is preferred. Travel up to 60% of the time is expected as you contribute to changing industry standards through innovative testing solutions.

What you'll do

Assist with test, system checkouts, and flight operations for Altius aircraft.
Build, program, and maintain autonomous aircraft for various flight tests.
Work on operational tasks that enable engineering, such as material prep and supporting test profiles.
Assist Site Manager with maintenance activities including inventory management and equipment upkeep.
Travel between test sites to support product installations and flight test requirements.

What we're looking for

RC, RPIC, or PIC experience on fixed-wing aircraft.
FAA Part 107 certificate and Part 61 ground school completion required.
Strong knowledge of National Airspace regulations and operating restrictions.
Experience with flight controllers and autopilot logic.
Small UAS maintenance experience and willingness to travel 60% of the time.
