What you'll do

  • Own and execute the overall operational success of the mission at a systems level.
  • Coordinate between ground and space engineering teams to achieve mission objectives.
  • Identify areas for improvement and initiate changes to increase fleet productivity.
  • Design and conduct operational rehearsals for each launch and on-orbit demonstration.
  • Drive automation efforts with scalability in mind to ensure operation without manual intervention.
  • Develop concepts of operation for missions, experiments, and space systems.
  • Perform analysis on system data to identify mechanisms for further improvement.
  • Define operational processes in collaboration with internal engineering teams.

What we're looking for

  • Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee for export control compliance.
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in the Aerospace industry.
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in spacecraft operations or direct support roles.
  • Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure is required.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix and CI/CD pipeline build processes is required.
  • Ability to program in at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
  • Technical understanding of space system architecture, subsystem functionality, and software engineering practices.
  • Experience with distributed systems, orbital mechanics, or satellite communications is preferred.
