JOB TITLE: Fixed Income Algo Technology, Director
The Fixed Income Algo Technology team seeks a Director to lead the global organization responsible for the design, development, and production of low-latency pricing, hedging, and execution platforms. You will own the multi-year technology strategy and roadmap for cross-asset algorithmic trading across Rates and Credit. Key responsibilities include leading a multi-region engineering organization, managing budgets, and ensuring platform resilience and regulatory compliance. You will oversee the delivery of business-critical initiatives, including venue connectivity and quant container integration. The role requires deep expertise in Java and Rust, high-performance messaging middleware like Aeron or Solace, and low-level performance tuning including kernel-bypass networking and JVM tuning. You will solve complex problems regarding market microstructure, order book dynamics, and deterministic low-latency design for global electronic market-making.
Own the global technology vision and multi-year roadmap for the Fixed Income Algo platform.
Lead, grow, and develop a global team of engineers and engineering leads across multiple regions.
Serve as the senior technology partner to the heads of Fixed Income electronic trading and quantitative research.
Set and enforce architectural direction and engineering standards for Java and Rust codebases.
Account for the delivery of business-critical initiatives including venue onboarding and pricing model rollouts.
Own platform latency, throughput, and availability targets through hardware, network stack, and JVM tuning.
Act as the senior accountable owner for production stability, incident response, and algorithmic risk controls.
Ensure the platform meets regulatory expectations for algorithmic trading and internal audit governance standards.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Extensive professional software engineering experience in front-office markets technology with a track record in low-latency electronic and Algo trading.
Prior experience leading a global or multi-region engineering organization with engineering leads reporting in.
Deep understanding of Fixed Income products across Rates and Credit, including pricing, risk sensitivities, and hedging relationships.
Strong working knowledge of market microstructure across Fixed Income venues and D2C platforms.
Expert-level understanding of performance-critical, low-latency systems built in Java and Rust.
Recent hands-on engagement with Java and Rust codebases (preferred).
Solid understanding of low-level performance tuning, including kernel-bypass networking, NUMA-aware memory layout, and JVM/GC tuning.
