As a Financial Intelligence Data Analyst, Mid, you will join the Financial Intelligence team to support national security policy and economic statecraft issues. You will work closely with clients to interpret complex data sets, identify patterns in large, unstructured, and noisy datasets, and provide actionable insights for high-profile decision-makers. Your daily responsibilities include researching and testing data methodologies, creating cross-functional solutions through visualization, and establishing quantitative metrics for financial or trade analysis in response to geopolitical developments. You will utilize a technical toolkit including SQL, Python, R, MATLAB, Spark, PySpark, Jupyter, and the OpenSearch analytics engine. Additionally, you will apply skills in machine learning frameworks, probabilistic modeling, and property graph construction from multiple sources. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance and expertise in analyzing financial systems to address risks to global economic security.
Research, develop, and test data methodologies to generate cross-functional solutions from large datasets.
Analyze large, unstructured, and noisy datasets to identify patterns for national security policy.
Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics to conduct large-scale financial or trade analysis.
Create data visualizations using tools like Tableau, Python, SQL, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Translate complex technical requirements and trends into simplified findings for diverse audiences.
Build property graphs from multiple sources to perform network analytics.
Implement machine learning processes and predictive modeling to answer business questions.
Produce finished intelligence products that conform to analytic tradecraft standards.
What we're looking for
TS/SCI clearance is required.
An Associate's degree with 6+ years of experience, a Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience in data analysis.
Experience performing data analysis using scripting languages such as Python, R, MATLAB, Spark, or PySpark.
Experience using open-source machine learning frameworks and big data tools to analyze proprietary data.
Experience with statistical analysis, probabilistic modeling, predictive modeling, and the OpenSearch analytics engine.
Ability to analyze large, unstructured, and noisy datasets to identify patterns and provide actionable results.
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Office Suite, and various graphing formats.
Experience building property graphs from multiple sources for network analytics.
