Finance & Strategy Partner, Central Engineering

What you'll do

• Forecast, budget, and report on AI investments including token spend, engineering headcount, and management tools.
• Provide financial analysis and evaluation for strategic projects and business model shifts.
• Measure the efficiency and ROI of both headcount and non-headcount expenses.
• Manage core finance routines such as budgeting, forecasting, monthly reviews, and long-range planning.
• Build and maintain accurate financial models for in-depth analysis.
• Develop reporting dashboards in collaboration with Data Science and Engineering teams.
• Drive continuous process improvements, standardization, and simplification of financial reporting.

What we're looking for

• 7–9 years of relevant experience in strategic finance or FP&A.
• Demonstrated experience executing on finance processes including budgeting, forecasting, contract negotiations, and headcount management.
• Experience using AI tools to develop data visualizations and explore datasets while quickly mastering new technologies.
• Fluency in AI cost drivers and metrics such as token caching, model selection principles, and billing frameworks.
• Deep understanding of expense accounting principles including accruals, amortization, and capitalization.
• Experience working in corporate finance at a high-growth technology company or supporting engineering teams.
• Proficiency with financial management applications like Oracle or Anaplan and data tools like SQL and G Suite.
• Background in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or consulting is preferred.
