As a Finance Manager, Azure Compute, you will join a team dedicated to building end-to-end Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure while driving down unit costs of capacity and improving gross margin growth. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the engineering leadership team, partnering with them to identify and prioritize investments for sustained margin expansion. Your daily responsibilities include co-owning the product roadmap, establishing consistent planning assumptions regarding hardware density and utilization, and collaborating on Virtual Machines product enhancements. You will deliver quarterly financial and operational reviews to senior leaders, providing clear insights through data visualization and investment recommendations. The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams while navigating ambiguity. You will solve complex problems related to cloud infrastructure investments, competitive intelligence, and profit growth within the Azure Compute product area.
Partner with engineering leadership to identify and prioritize investments for sustained margin growth.

What we're looking for
A Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field and 2+ years of experience in finance or accounting.
Equivalent professional experience to the specified educational requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to synthesize and communicate complex analyses to senior leaders and business partners.
Ability to manage multiple work streams while prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong partnering, collaboration, and inclusion skills when working with cross-functional teams.
