As an Enterprise ICAM Architect, you will join the team to oversee large-scale identity and access management projects while designing and directing the strategy, implementation, and governance of ICAM systems for the Department of Veterans Affairs. You will manage a Program Office and support teams to build target-state architectures involving SSO, IGA, PAM, and directory services aligned with Zero Trust principles. Your daily work involves leading architecture reviews, technical validations, vendor evaluations, and quarterly increment planning within a Scaled Agile framework. You will utilize tools such as Entra ID, Okta, Saviynt, CyberArk, and PingIdentity while ensuring compliance with STIGs, FIPS, and NIST 800-53 standards. The role addresses critical federal mandates including OMB M-19-17 and NIST 800-63 to secure identity lifecycle management and federated architecture across hybrid environments involving AWS, Azure, and VMWare.
Design and direct enterprise ICAM target-state architecture including SSO, IGA, PAM, and directory services.
Align security architecture and strategy with regulatory compliance standards like STIGs, FIPS, and NIST 800-53.
Lead technical validation, vendor evaluations, and architecture reviews for innovation sessions and technology decisions.
Manage the ICAM Program Office and lead multiple Kanban Agile support teams within a Scaled Agile framework.
Partner with senior government stakeholders and C-suite executives on high-level ICAM architecture discussions.
Support federal federation architecture efforts for external partners and Department of Veterans Affairs systems.
Automate routine tasks and integrate AI tools to improve operational efficiency and output quality.
What we're looking for
Experience designing and directing enterprise-scale ICAM strategy, implementation, and governance including Zero Trust and cloud security.
Experience leading the integration of SSO, MFA, PAM, and directory services as an enterprise SME.
Experience with security architecture, RBAC or Access Certification implementation, and identity or role lifecycle management.
Knowledge of Federal ICAM mandates such as OMB M-19-17, NIST 800-63, EO 14028, and OMB M-22-09.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
CISSP Certification, or Cyber or Identity Certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, ICAgile Certified Professional, or CyberArk Certified.
