Enterprise Architect - Pharma Commercial serves as a strategic bridge between the Strategy, Portfolio & Governance organization and Pharma Medicines within a federated model. This role involves orchestrating the global architecture network to translate business goals into multi-year technology roadmaps across Market Access, Marketing, Customer Engagement, Analytics, and Commercial Operations. The architect will lead a network of embedded architects, establish technical guardrails, manage technical debt, and develop capability maps using ArchiMEDES (SAP LeanIX). Key responsibilities include modernizing customer engagement through AI-driven content supply chains and ensuring compliance with GDPR and HIPAA standards. Required expertise includes experience with Veeva, Salesforce, Master Data Management, and TOGAF frameworks. The role addresses the challenge of migrating legacy commercial systems to modern, cloud-native ecosystems while managing high-volume integrations between front- and back-office systems in a complex pharmaceutical environment.
Translate business goals into multi-year technology roadmaps across Market Access, Marketing, Customer Engagement, Analytics, and Commercial Operations.
Lead a federated network of architects to establish shared strategic priorities, technology guardrails, and security standards.
Drive architectural success for high-impact initiatives like customer engagement modernization and AI-driven content supply chains.
Develop and maintain commercial capability maps, target-state architectures, and technology inventories using ArchiMEDES.

Monitor emerging technologies and evaluate vendors to ensure a future-ready, optimized architecture.

What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or Science.
Master’s degree (preferred).
At least 10 years of experience in IT and enterprise/domain architecture including migrating legacy systems to cloud-native ecosystems.
At least 5 years of experience in the biotech/pharma industry.
Deep domain expertise in global Pharma Commercial operations, including Field CRM, Omnichannel Marketing, Market Access, and Patient Services.
Expertise in modern digital tech stacks like Veeva and Salesforce, along with high-volume integrations and MDM.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and agile/product-led delivery methodologies.
Proven ability to lead networks of architects through influence rather than direct authority.
