Engineering Manager, Security Server Applications

What you'll do

• Lead a team to build and operate mission-critical, highly available server-side security services.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into well-defined technical designs and clear project goals.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineers with diverse working styles to ensure development excellence.
• Make clear technical decisions and build consensus through sound technical reasoning.
• Manage the development of services for hardware root of trust, secure software updates, and secure repairs.
• Oversee the deployment of global-scale platforms for identity, device security, and anti-abuse.
• Provide operational support for production systems and travel as needed.
• Present project status and technical updates to senior leadership and executives.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of relevant industry experience shipping critical deliverables.
• 1+ years of experience directly managing software engineers.
• Proficiency in Java and accompanying frameworks.
• Solid understanding of highly available distributed systems and relational databases.
• Working knowledge of security fundamentals, such as PKI, x.509, authentication protocols, and cryptographic primitives.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• 2-3 years of people management experience (preferred).
• Proven track record in designing, leading, and shipping mission-critical services that run at a global scale (preferred).
