Engineering Manager, Red Team

What you'll do

• Define the red team's strategic roadmap, including engagement cadence and target prioritization based on the threat landscape.
• Lead, coach, and grow a team of offensive security engineers while managing headcount expansion.
• Stay hands-on with technical tasks such as engagement scoping, methodology selection, and tooling architecture.
• Drive cross-functional remediation by partnering with engineering and detection teams to fix identified vulnerabilities.
• Build purple team workflows with detection engineering to validate and improve defensive coverage.
• Direct the development of red team infrastructure and custom tools as production-quality software.
• Translate technical offensive findings into risk-based language for non-technical stakeholders and executives.
• Design metrics and processes that communicate the team's value in terms of measurable risk reduction.

What we're looking for

• You must have 7+ years of experience in offensive security, including red teaming and adversary simulation.
• You must have at least 3 years of experience managing offensive security practitioners.
• You must possess deep hands-on expertise in TTPs, attack chains, tradecraft, and tooling.
• You must have experience with cloud-native offensive operations involving AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• You must be able to develop or direct the creation of custom offensive tooling as engineered software.
• You must demonstrate the ability to lead, coach, and grow a team of security engineers.
• You must have experience influencing cross-functional teams to prioritize and act on security findings.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, GXPN, CRTO, or CRTL are preferred.
