Engineering Manager, Proactive Security - Platform

What you'll do

• Set and execute the technical vision for platform hardening across AWS and GCP environments.
• Manage the hardening roadmap for tier-0 cloud infrastructure, identity services, and secrets management.
• Coach and mentor engineers as a player-coach on complex security and infrastructure problems.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to build secure "paved road" controls for shared infrastructure.
• Maintain high operational excellence for critical security platforms through rigorous on-call rotations and incident response.
• Drive the continuous hardening of cloud environments to eliminate insecure defaults before they reach production.
• Enable the secure adoption of AI tooling and agentic workflows from an access-control perspective.

What we're looking for

• Must have 12+ years of experience as a Security or Infrastructure Platform Engineer at an internet-scale organization.
• Must have 3+ years of demonstrated technical leadership leading teams building outcomes at global scale.
• Requires deep hands-on expertise hardening AWS and/or GCP at scale, including account structure, guardrails, and network posture.
• Requires experience operating access and secrets infrastructure such as Teleport or HashiCorp Vault as tier-0 services.
• Must have a track record of running high-availability platform services with mature on-call practices and incident response.
• Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Security Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Must demonstrate technical leadership in designing scalable security controls that meet regulatory requirements.
• Requires exceptional verbal and written communication skills to influence stakeholders across global engineering teams.
