Engineering Manager, Consumer Authorization Systems

What you'll do

• Provide technical vision and strategy for building platforms that scale to millions of members.
• Lead a team of backend engineers to build and execute on shared security, engineering, and product goals.
• Grow and mentor a diverse team through coaching, hiring, and providing honest feedback.
• Build and maintain highly resilient, low-latency backend infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Manage the development of authorization platforms using technologies like ABAC, RBAC, or policy engines.
• Balance immediate stakeholder needs with long-term technical vision across product, data science, and security teams.
• Drive the innovation of high-scale services for streaming, ads, and games products.

What we're looking for

• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing, diverse engineering teams.
• Extensive background and strong technical expertise in backend infrastructure and platforms.
• Proven track record of scaling a platform from 1 to multiple.
• Knowledge of distributed systems architectures and infrastructure.
• Experience in hiring, coaching, and retaining strong engineering talent.
• Experience with authorization technologies such as ABAC, RBAC, or policy engines (preferred).
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with product management, data science, and security partners.
• Ability to lead through challenges involving large-scale, low-latency applications.
