Embedded Systems Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop robust firmware for microcontrollers and create reusable device drivers.
• Integrate system-level features into the firmware layer for tactical products.
• Debug and troubleshoot hardware issues across electrical, firmware, and software boundaries.
• Coordinate with design teams to manage programs from prototype through customer deployment.
• Work with test engineering to streamline high-yield production and manufacturing of hardware.
• Support field testing to identify new firmware features and quantify customer value.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience developing software/firmware for embedded systems.
• BS in CS, CE, EE, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience integrating microcontrollers with analog/digital sensors in bare-metal or RTOS environments.
• Strong C coding ability and familiarity with the language standard.
• Knowledge of board bringup methodology and software/hardware debugging best practices.
• Familiarity with IC bus protocols including I2C, SPI, USB, CAN, RS232, RS485, and Ethernet.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
