What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and modify embedded and cloud edge software and specialized utility programs.
  • Validate software applications to ensure they meet performance requirements and customer needs.
  • Develop embedded software stacks for complex SoCs with various cores and bus infrastructures.
  • Optimize software for performance and power efficiency in Edge AI and multimedia use cases.
  • Develop and maintain SDKs to enable customer and community development.
  • Debug and profile software for embedded real-time environments.
  • Perform performance evaluations using QEMU, simulators, emulators, and on-silicon hardware.
  • Define software architecture by coordinating with system and hardware teams.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience and willingness to work in San Diego (preferred).
  • Knowledge of operating systems, multi-threaded programming, hardware drivers, and inter-processor communications (preferred).
  • Experience developing, debugging, profiling, and optimizing for embedded real-time environments (preferred).
  • Knowledge of ARM CPU architecture, CPU accelerator ISA, and performance evaluation using QEMU or simulators (preferred).
