What you'll do

Develop reliable flight software for RTOS and bare-metal environments ranging from low-level control to autonomous behaviors.
Create supporting test, validation, and simulation software infrastructure.
Manage the full software development lifecycle from requirements definition and design to deployment in orbit.
Design and implement software systems to control and monitor high-speed optical communications.
Identify top-level requirements and ensure high-quality, innovative designs for embedded systems.
Support the design, build, integration, and testing of high-speed optical communication systems.
Improve embedded system designs in collaboration with hardware, firmware, and opto-mechanical teams.

What we're looking for

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
1+ years of experience developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
3+ years of full software development life cycle experience including coding standards, code reviews, source control, and testing (preferred).
