You will also perform technical tasks like reviewing schematics and using logic analyzers for troubleshooting. This position focuses on providing software for both applications and the underlying Linux system to connect customers to the Amazon LEO network through specialized hardware integration.

What you'll do

Develop embedded software for Customer Terminal devices within the Amazon LEO system.
Execute all phases of the software development life cycle including requirements gathering and design.
Write production-ready code using C, C++, Rust, or Python.
Implement real-time embedded software philosophies and practices.
Develop software for both applications and underlying Linux systems or RTOS.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using schematics and logic analyzers.
Ensure high code coverage and reliability for large quantities of consumer electronics.

What we're looking for

Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee/asylee for export control compliance.
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience involving design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
3+ years of embedded firmware development experience.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Expertise with Linux and/or RTOS.
Experience with real-time embedded software philosophies and practices.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred); experience in embedded wireless systems (preferred).
