As an Embedded Quality Engineer - Camera, you will join a fast-paced team focused on delivering high-quality camera and ISP solutions for consumer products. You will own end-to-end testing for assigned features across multiple platforms, designing and executing test plans that cover functionality, performance, power, stability, and image quality. Your daily responsibilities include building scalable automated tests integrated with CI/CD pipelines, performing exploratory manual testing, and triaging defects in partnership with firmware and driver teams to identify regressions and release risks. You will utilize Python or comparable scripting languages within macOS or Linux command-line environments. The role requires expertise in embedded systems, firmware debugging via logs and traces, and knowledge of imaging fundamentals such as ISP pipelines, 3A, video formats, and color spaces to ensure a premium camera experience.

What you'll do

Own end-to-end testing for assigned camera features across multiple platforms.
Design and execute test plans covering functionality, performance, power, stability, and image quality.
Build scalable automated tests and test tooling integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
Perform exploratory manual testing to identify issues missed by automation.
Triage, reproduce, and root-cause defects in partnership with firmware and driver teams.
Analyze results across builds to identify regressions, trends, and release risks.
Use AI-assisted engineering tools and prompt construction to develop test scripts and analyze logs.

What we're looking for

Bachelor of Science degree and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
At least 3 years of experience testing embedded systems, including authoring system and feature-level test plans.
Experience building test automation for embedded or firmware targets.
Proficiency in Python or a comparable scripting language.
Comfort working in macOS or Linux command-line environments.
Solid grounding in QA methodology and structured test processes.
Experience with image quality evaluation, pre-silicon validation, and camera/imaging fundamentals like ISP pipelines and 3A.
Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools to develop tools and increase engineering throughput.
