You will solve complex problems regarding power distribution, grounding, signal integrity, EMI/EMC mitigation, and SWaP constraints for rugged commercial, industrial, aerospace, or military applications to ensure high reliability in the field.

What you'll do

Design, fabricate, and integrate harness systems while representing the harness discipline on projects.
Research and procure connectors, back-shells, wire, and shielding to meet environmental requirements.
Develop and generate harness system block diagrams and wire diagrams for production release.
Create assembly instructions and test procedures based on industry standards and best practices.
Guide the electrical team in identifying system requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
Perform electrical trade studies for wire gauge, shielding, connector selection, and topology.
Analyze and mitigate risks such as voltage drop, crosstalk, EMI susceptibility, and thermal effects.
Manage multiple projects concurrently through various stages of development and deployment.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
5+ years of hands-on experience designing electrical harnessing for rugged commercial, industrial, aerospace, or military applications.
Experience working directly with harness manufacturers to deliver high quality and reliability products.
Expertise in end-to-end electrical wiring systems including power distribution, grounding, shielding, and signal integrity.
Ability to perform electrical trade studies and mitigate risks such as voltage drop, crosstalk, and EMI/EMC.
Familiarity with common electrical bus interfaces like CAN, Ethernet, RS422, RS232, and 1553.
Knowledge of applicable harness standards, MIL-STD requirements, and SWaP for power and communication systems.
Must be eligible to receive a US Security Clearance.
