Proficiency in 3D CAD wire harness routing tools like NX Cabling and Siemens Capital is preferred, as well as familiarity with common electrical bus interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet, RS-422, and RS-232. This role demands a solid understanding of SWaP for power, network, and communication systems to deliver high-quality, reliable products.

What you'll do

Design and develop electrical harness systems to meet technical requirements.
Select appropriate connectors, contacts, wire types, and shielding for environmental compliance.
Generate block diagrams and wire diagrams for production release.
Prepare assembly instructions and test procedures using industry standards.
Provide guidance on electrical system requirements to internal stakeholders.
Perform trade studies for wire gauge, shielding, connector selection, and topology.

What we're looking for

3+ years of hands-on experience designing electrical harnessing for rugged applications.
Experience working directly with harness manufacturers to ensure high quality and reliability.
Expertise in ensuring designs meet system-level electrical requirements including EMI/EMC.
Ability to perform electrical trade studies and analyze risks related to wiring systems.
Familiarity with common electrical bus interfaces and applicable MIL-STD requirements.
