What you'll do

  • Identify, remove, and categorize internal hardware components and subassemblies for naval systems.
  • Analyze system architecture, interconnects, signal paths, and functional hardware blocks.
  • Develop comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) and detailed parts lists for each system.
  • Document hardware configurations, component specifications, cabling, connectors, and assemblies.
  • Design and write detailed hardware test procedures for system evaluation and component verification.
  • Support failure analysis activities and assist in root-cause investigations.
  • Provide engineering recommendations for repair, modification, and lifecycle support.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with internship experience.
  • Master's degree in a related engineering field is acceptable as an alternative to a Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits and reading schematics (preferred).
  • Skill in diagnosing and repairing power electronics systems (preferred).
  • Experience developing and validating troubleshooting and repair procedures (preferred).
  • Experience conducting hazard analysis for high-voltage work environments (preferred).
  • Experience with silicone and epoxy-based high-voltage encapsulation materials (preferred).
