The Domain Architect, Salesforce Ecosystem serves within the Global Commercial Business Technology Services team, overseeing the architecture standards and roadmap for approximately 32 critical applications. This role is responsible for governing the Salesforce ecosystem, including making high-level decisions on technology adoption such as Data 360, Agentforce, and Headless 360. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing design reviews, enforcing architectural compliance, authoring the standards library, and leading technical strategy for complex migration programs. The candidate will utilize expertise in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Health Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and Data Cloud to manage integration patterns and platform limits. This role addresses the challenge of consolidating commercial capabilities onto a unified platform while ensuring data integrity and compliance within a regulated pharmaceutical environment, specifically managing the complexities of healthcare provider engagement and patient data.
Manage the Salesforce ecosystem roadmap, including multi-year target states and cloud boundary decisions.
Lead design reviews to ensure all initiatives comply with established architecture standards and requirements.
Author and maintain the Salesforce Standards Library covering data models, integration patterns, and security protocols.
Oversee technical strategy for large-scale programs involving migration sequencing, integration contracts, and cutover criteria.
Govern AI capabilities on the platform by evaluating and managing Agentforce and other marketplace offerings.
Manage the primary relationship with Salesforce to track product roadmaps and evaluate vendor capabilities.
Provide architectural mentorship and leadership to solution architects across various delivery organizations.
Conduct competitive evaluations of new Salesforce products and features using a standardized RFP playbook.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field with 9 years of experience; Master’s with 8 years; or PhD with 4 years.
Experience in enterprise, domain, or solution architecture with demonstrated expertise architecting on the Salesforce platform at enterprise scale.
Deep architectural knowledge across multiple Salesforce clouds including at least two specific clouds and mastery of data models, sharing/security, and platform limits.
Demonstrated experience with Salesforce org strategy, including multi-org vs. single-org trade-offs, connected orgs, and environment topology.
Experience with Salesforce release management, packaged deployment (CI/CD), and migrating a Salesforce estate between toolchains.
Experience architecting CRM platform migration or consolidation programs, including coexistence patterns between incumbent and target platforms.
Demonstrated experience authoring architecture standards and roadmaps while leading architectural review boards as a governance participant.
Experience in regulated industries like pharmaceutical, healthcare, or financial services with knowledge of compliance for patient data and consent handling.
