As a Distinguished, Data Scientist on the Marketplace data sciences team, you will drive innovative strategic solutions by utilizing advanced SOTA AI and machine learning at scale. You will develop statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and computational algorithms to provide data-derived insights for business initiatives. Your daily responsibilities include mentoring data scientists and analysts, gathering and validating data into large analytics datasets, and building models for future project replication. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to improve content using multilingual and multimodal foundation models while solving complex problems with Computer Vision. The role requires expertise in Python, Spark, Scala, or R, along with experience in scikit learn, tensorflow, and torch. What we're looking for
A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 6 years of experience in an analytics field.
A Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 4 years of experience in an analytics field.
At least 8 years of experience in an analytics or related field.
A PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or Econometrics is preferred.
Experience as a tech lead for more than 10 years is required for the Distinguished level.
Proficiency in Python, Spark, Scala, or R and experience with open-source frameworks like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or Torch.
Expertise in advanced machine learning, generative AI, computer vision, and large-scale data science techniques.
Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and digital accessibility best practices.
