JOB TITLE: Distinguished AI Engineer
The Distinguished AI Engineer joins the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team to advance the state of the art in science and AI engineering. This role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting AI software components, including foundation model training, large language model inference, similarity search, guardrails, model evaluation, experimentation, governance, and observability. You will invent state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques to improve performance, scalability, cost, latency, and throughput for large scale production AI systems. The position requires proficiency with Python, Go, Scala, Java, C++, and C#, alongside tools like AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and Nemo Guardrails. You will solve complex technical problems by building proprietary solutions that empower teams to deliver responsible, scalable, and high-performance AI infrastructure for banking products.

What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields plus 8 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms.
Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields plus 6 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms.
At least 8 years of experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
8 years of experience deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms (preferred).
Experience architecting, designing, developing, integrating, delivering, and supporting complex AI systems (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor multiple engineering teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders up to the VP level (preferred).
Experience developing AI and ML algorithms using Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang (preferred).
Experience developing and applying state-of-the-art techniques for optimizing training and inference software (preferred).
