What you'll do

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap for automation, data, AI, and digital transformation in biologics development.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and data experts to build advanced technical capabilities.
  • Implement "Lab-in-a-Loop" systems integrating experimental automation, predictive modeling, and machine learning into scientific workflows.
  • Establish an integrated data ecosystem with standardized governance for high-quality, reusable scientific data.
  • Serve as the primary business leader to influence senior leadership on investment decisions and technology prioritization.
  • Manage multi-year budgets, resource allocation, and project roadmaps to improve development speed and productivity.
  • Translate emerging technologies into scalable business capabilities that enhance process understanding and decision quality.

What we're looking for

  • M.S. or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Data Science, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or advanced technology industries.
  • Experience in biologics process development, manufacturing sciences, digital transformation, or related functions.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary scientific and technical organizations.
  • Proven success leading large-scale digital transformation, automation, data science, or technology-enabled business initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of biologics drug substance development, manufacturing processes, analytical workflows, and CMC development (preferred).
  • Experience implementing laboratory automation, robotics, automated experimentation, and digital laboratory solutions (preferred).
  • Knowledge of AI/ML methodologies, advanced analytics, cloud computing, and model-based development approaches (preferred).
