JOB TITLE: DevOps Engineer
The DevOps Engineer joins a large team supporting a large-scale government program to build, operate, and optimize cloud environments. You will design and develop DevOps pipelines to drive rapid functionality delivery while using automation and infrastructure-as-code to strengthen reliability and reduce manual effort. Daily responsibilities include deploying and scaling multi-cloud solutions, performing code and log analysis to investigate web application errors, and managing observability through diagnostic tools. You will utilize a technical stack including Kubernetes, GitLab CI, Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform/Terragrunt, and Python. Required skills involve operating AWS, Azure, or GCP environments, managing Docker containers, and implementing monitoring and alerting solutions. This role solves complex operational challenges by streamlining workflows and maintaining secure, high-performing cloud-native applications within a dynamic, mission-focused technical landscape.

What we're looking for

4+ years of experience operating and supporting cloud environments including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer, or a Master's degree and 1+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer.
Experience with container technologies including Docker or Kubernetes.
Experience with automation and workflow tools including GitLab and GitHub.
Experience with IaC tooling including Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM.
Experience with scripting including Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Ability to obtain AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified CloudOps, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification within 60 days.
Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification within 30 days.
Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
Experience with Linux or Windows Server (preferred).
Experience with network fundamentals (preferred).
Knowledge of Generative AI best practices, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows (preferred).
Knowledge of Zero Trust frameworks for the cloud, containers, and applications (preferred).
Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering (preferred).
