JOB TITLE: DevOps Engineer
The DevOps Engineer joins a large team supporting a government program to operate and optimize cloud platforms for the United States Air Force. You will work with software development teams to understand their architectures and develop onboarding paths for the client's platform. Daily responsibilities include automating infrastructure, designing automation pipelines for rapid functionality delivery, and troubleshooting distributed systems. You will use a technical stack including Kubernetes, Terraform, Terragrunt, Python, Bash, and PowerShell. What we're looking for
1+ years of experience operating cloud environments including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with container technologies including Docker or Kubernetes.
Experience with scripting for automation including Python, bash, or PowerShell.
Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub or GitLab.
Experience implementing Infrastructure or Configuration as code including Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree (preferred: CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering).
Ability to obtain AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified CloudOps, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification within 60 days.
Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification within 30 days.
Experience with Linux or Windows Server (preferred).
Experience with network fundamentals (preferred).
Knowledge of Generative AI best practices, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows (preferred).
