TL;DR · Developer Relations Manager, Data Processing and Databases

Developer Relations Manager – Data Processing and Databases is a role focused on integrating GPU acceleration into the analytical data processing ecosystem. You will serve as a technical advocate for developers building query engines and data platforms, working with architects to define integration surfaces between third-party systems and NVIDIA technologies like Sirius, cuCascade, RAPIDS, cuDF, nvCOMP, and CUDA-X Data Processing. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing reference implementations, conducting TPC-H and TPC-DS benchmarks, and translating technical findings into product requirements. You will navigate complex problems involving query planning, columnar and vectorized processing, and storage formats like Parquet and Arrow. The role requires proficiency in C++, Rust, or Python to support the integration of GPU libraries into various deployment environments while influencing the roadmap for accelerated analytics across the broader data ecosystem.

What you'll do

  • Integrate NVIDIA's data processing stack into third-party query engines and OLAP databases across various deployment environments.
  • Provide reference implementations, integration guides, and hands-on engineering support to help partners adopt NVIDIA technologies.
  • Define the technical integration surfaces and APIs between NVIDIA libraries and external engine components like optimizers and schedulers.
  • Design and execute benchmark tests (e.g., TPC-H, TPC-DS) to provide evidence of GPU acceleration performance against CPU baselines.
  • Translate findings from integrations and benchmarks into concrete requirements for the internal NVIDIA product roadmap.
  • Track the analytical data processing ecosystem to identify new engines, execution models, and competing technologies.
  • Advocate for NVIDIA products by engaging with engine architects and leaders in both public open-source and private settings.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering, developer relations, technical partnerships, solutions architecture, or product management.
  • Proven domain authority in analytical data systems through research, maintainership, or core contributions to query engines and data processing libraries.
  • Experience working with open source data projects, commercial data platform/database ISVs, or cloud service provider data services.
  • Proficiency in the internals of analytical data systems including query execution, optimization, vectorized/columnar processing, and storage formats like Parquet and Arrow.
  • Ability to read and contribute to large C++, Rust, or Python codebases.
  • Strong communication skills to deliver technical presentations and manage complex projects for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with CUDA, RAPIDS, cuDF, nvCOMP, or other GPU acceleration platforms (preferred); experience as a maintainer of an open source data system (preferred).
