The Developer Relations Manager – Data Processing and Databases joins the team responsible for building GPU acceleration for the analytical data processing ecosystem. You will serve as a technical advocate, integrating NVIDIA technologies like Sirius, cuCascade, RAPIDS, cuDF, nvCOMP, and CUDA-X Data Processing into third-party query engines and OLAP databases. Your daily work involves collaborating with maintainers and architects to define integration surfaces, producing benchmark evidence using TPC-H, TPC-DS, and ClickBench, and translating findings into product requirements. You must possess deep expertise in query planning, columnar and vectorized processing, and storage formats like Parquet and Arrow. The role requires proficiency in C++, Rust, or Python to support developers through onboarding, providing reference implementations, and establishing best-practice patterns for GPU-accelerated analytics across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem deployments.
Integrate NVIDIA's data processing stack into real query engines and OLAP databases across various deployment types.
Provide working reference implementations, integration guides, and hands-on engineering help to support external developers.
Define the integration surface and APIs between NVIDIA's GPU libraries and third-party query engines.
Design and run TPC-H, TPC-DS, and ClickBench measurements to provide benchmark evidence for GPU acceleration.
Translate technical learnings and integration challenges into concrete requirements for NVIDIA's product roadmap.
Track the analytical data processing ecosystem to identify new engines, execution models, and competing acceleration approaches.
Own the acceleration roadmap jointly with partners through upstream contributions and public design reviews.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
6+ years of professional experience in software engineering, developer relations, technical partnerships, solutions architecture, or product management.
Hands-on experience with analytical data systems, including query execution, optimization, vectorized and columnar processing, and storage formats like Parquet and Arrow.
Experience working with or supporting open source data projects, commercial data platform and database ISVs, or cloud service provider data services.
Proficiency in reading and contributing to large C++, Rust, or Python codebases.
Ability to manage technical projects, solve integration challenges, and communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
Committer, maintainer, or sustained contributor to a widely used open source data system (preferred).
Shipped an acceleration layer or engine integration into a commercial data platform, end to end (preferred).
