The Developer Experience & AI Enablement Lead joins the engineering organization to drive the continuous improvement of enterprise software development processes, standards, and secure practices across multiple business units. This role focuses on building a "golden path" for developers by creating standardized workflows, repository blueprints, CI/CD frameworks, and automated infrastructure. The individual will lead the technical roadmap for integrating generative AI assistants and agentic capabilities into the end-to-end software development lifecycle while ensuring compliance with security protocols. Key responsibilities include managing open-source governance, vulnerability management, and SBOM tracking. The role requires expertise in tools like GitHub, GitLab, Jira, and Jenkins. This position addresses the challenge of scaling secure, consistent engineering practices within a complex environment involving mission-critical systems, defense technologies, and stringent government contracting requirements to improve developer experience and software maturity.
Lead the technical roadmap for integrating generative AI and automated agents into the software development lifecycle.
Establish consistent, secure, and scalable software development practices across multiple business units.
Define "golden path" workflows including repository blueprints, CI/CD frameworks, and reusable engineering patterns.
Translate cybersecurity policies and compliance requirements into practical engineering workflows and operating procedures.
Coordinate the implementation of secure development practices such as SAST/DAST, vulnerability management, and SBOMs.
Establish governance for open-source software and third-party dependencies including licensing and risk scanning.
Develop self-service infrastructure and automation to enable teams to create compliant environments with minimal manual effort.
Define metrics for developer experience, delivery performance, and software development maturity to guide continuous improvement.

At least three years of experience leading enterprise process improvement or enablement initiatives.
Demonstrated experience coordinating complex, cross-functional technical initiatives across multiple teams and organizational boundaries.
Practical understanding of software architecture, source-code repositories, code review, build systems, CI/CD, testing, release management, and developer workflows.
Experience implementing secure software development practices including vulnerability management, dependency governance, secrets handling, SBOMs, and security scanning.
Experience translating policies, standards, and risk requirements into practical processes, controls, workflows, and implementation plans.
Familiarity with enterprise tools such as GitHub or GitLab, Jira, Jenkins, artifact repositories, and infrastructure automation.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET DoD clearance.
Experience leading software development standardization, developer experience, or engineering operating-model initiatives across multiple business units (preferred).
Experience designing or implementing enterprise developer platforms, paved-road workflows, or self-service engineering automation (preferred).
Experience with generative AI governance, AI coding assistants, LLM gateways, or secure enterprise AI adoption (preferred).
Experience with open-source licensing, third-party software governance, vendor evaluation, or technology investment planning (preferred).
Experience managing software product lifecycles for hardware, real-time, embedded, or mission-critical systems (preferred).
Experience with radar, SIGINT, electronic warfare, Yocto, or related defense technologies (preferred).
