Data Scientist

What you'll do

• Use Python and SQL to perform large-scale data transformations and risk assessments.
• Develop business intelligence solutions to detect identity theft, account takeover, and financial fraud.
• Create interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Matplotlib, or Superset.
• Design experiments and analytical processes to identify opportunities in fraud prevention workflows.
• Implement identity verification and authentication methods within Apple Wallet products.
• Provide actionable insights and decision support for internal and external program partners.
• Communicate complex technical analyses and impact reports to non-technical leadership.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• Experience using Python to conduct large-scale analyses and risk assessments.
• Proficiency with visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Superset, and Matplotlib to create interactive dashboards.
• Ability to apply statistics to perform deep dives and generate actionable insights.
• Experience using data stores such as Apache Iceberg, Snowflake, or Hadoop with SQL and PySpark for large-scale transformations.
• Ability to communicate complex analyses and technical topics to both executive leadership and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of identity authentication and verification methods including industry standards and best-practice guidelines.
