Data Engineer III

What you'll do

• Build and maintain reliable finance data products for reporting, FP&A, and decision analytics.
• Design and operate batch and streaming pipelines using GCP services like Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.
• Define business rules with stakeholders to ensure the quality of financial datasets and mappings.
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and auditability across all finance datasets.
• Ensure the scalability and maintainability of systems powering revenue, expense, and management reporting.
• Document data engineering processes, workflows, and lineage for knowledge sharing and future reference.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers on financial data modeling and analytics enablement.
• Lead technical initiatives to drive scalable data engineering practices within the finance ecosystem.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related engineering field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and automation.
• Expertise in GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer.
• Hands-on experience with data orchestration tools like Apache Airflow and distributed processing frameworks like Spark.
• Expert knowledge of data quality functions such as cleansing, standardization, parsing, and mapping for finance master data.
• Experience in data management, governance, and warehousing principles like dimensional modeling and BigQuery optimization.
• Proven ability to mentor team members and lead technical initiatives across multiple workstreams.
