As a Data Center Network Architect, you will join the Data Center Networking team to build and operationalize innovative products and solutions for hyper-scale network infrastructure. You will partner with architects to realize future network visions by meeting with vendors, drafting RFPs, qualifying hardware and software, and influencing hardware design decisions. The role requires expert-level routing and switching mastery, deep knowledge of TCP/IP, and experience with overlay technologies like VXLAN, GRE, and IPSec. You will work with multi-vendor and open-source network operating systems while managing performance tuning and network-layer security. Design and operationalize innovative products for hyper-scale network infrastructure.
Partner with architects to develop solutions and execute the future network vision.
Manage vendor relationships, draft RFPs, and qualify hardware and software components.
Influence hardware design decisions and provide integration plans for infrastructure teams.
Optimize network performance and implement large-scale routing and switching features.
Deploy and scale overlay networking technologies such as VXLAN, GRE, and IPSec.

What we're looking for
Expert-level mastery of routing and switching.
In-depth understanding of switching ASICs from multiple providers.
Understanding of multi-vendor and open source network operating system architecture and design.
Sophisticated knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and large scale network features.
Deep technical background in network-layer security mechanisms.
Experience deploying and scaling overlay networking technologies such as VXLAN, GRE, and IPSec.
Familiarity with data center structured cabling, fiber plant, power, and cooling.
10+ years experience in building, securing, and deploying large scale data center network environments (preferred); engineering leadership (preferred).
