The Data Analytics Engineer joins the Residential Enablement and Insights team to bridge business strategy and data engineering. This role focuses on designing and implementing scalable, trusted data models, including semantic layers, star schemas, and data marts, to support strategic decision-making for Residential Sales and Marketing organizations. You will build and maintain data pipelines, transforming complex raw data into analytics-ready datasets to enable data self-service. Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and governance while documenting data assets. Required technical skills include SQL for querying and modeling, Power BI for dashboarding using DAX and Power Query, and Databricks for processing data in Delta Lake. Proficiency in Python or R, Git, and Azure Data Lake architectures is also required to support modern analytics practices.

What you'll do

Translate business requirements into scalable data models and analytic solutions for strategic decision-making.
Design and maintain data models including semantic layers, star schemas, and data marts.
Build and maintain data pipelines using Databricks to transform raw data into analytics-ready datasets.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance in alignment with data governance standards.
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI, DAX, and Power Query.
Document and standardize data assets, including metadata, datasets, and data models.
Use Python or R for data transformation, automation, and analytical tasks.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
Experience using SQL to query, transform, and analyze data.
Familiarity with designing logical and physical data models that support scalable analytics.
Experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, dataflows, and data security concepts.
Some experience working with Databricks, preferably in a cloud environment such as Azure, to process and model data.
Understanding of data pipeline concepts, including ETL/ELT processes, orchestration, and data lake architectures.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data transformation and automation.
Some experience working with version control systems like Git and familiarity with DataOps or CI/CD (preferred).
