The Cybersecurity Operations role involves leading the firm-wide cloud security workstream by managing strategic planning, resource allocation, and assessment priorities for various cloud-based platforms. The successful candidate will define penetration testing methodologies, oversee quality assurance of deliverables, and mentor junior team members in offensive security techniques. Day-to-day responsibilities include directing manual and automated security assessments for web, API, infrastructure, thick-client, and mobile applications to identify and mitigate threats. To achieve these goals, the individual must utilize Python and Bash for automation while applying OWASP, NIST, and PTES frameworks. The role focuses on solving complex cybersecurity problems by identifying systemic risks and providing actionable remediation recommendations. Technical expertise in AWS, Azure, and GCP environments is required to ensure all cloud-based applications and infrastructure remain secure against evolving vulnerabilities and emerging security threats.
Lead the firm-wide cloud security workstream including strategic planning and resource allocation.
Define and implement assessment methodologies and quality standards for penetration testing practices.
Review and approve technical penetration testing deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Present security research, threat intelligence, and vulnerability trends to senior leadership.
Direct manual security assessments and penetration tests targeting critical cloud environments and infrastructure.
Develop automation tools and scripts using Python and Bash to scale testing activities.
Provide actionable remediation recommendations and subject matter expertise on offensive security.
Mentor and develop junior team members through coaching and technical training.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study.
At least 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Cybersecurity Operations, Assessments & Exercises Associate, Software Engineer, or related occupation.
Experience leading cloud security initiatives and penetration testing engagements for AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
Experience performing manual and automated penetration testing on web, API, cloud, infrastructure, thick-client, and mobile applications.
Experience developing and implementing security assessment methodologies using OWASP, NIST, and PTES frameworks.
Experience overseeing quality assurance of penetration testing products and deliverables.
Experience developing automation tools and scripts using Python and Bash to enhance penetration testing efficiency.
Ability to identify systemic security issues and provide actionable remediation recommendations for stakeholders.
