As a Cybersecurity Analyst on the security operations center team, you will serve as a primary line of defense to protect critical infrastructure from cyber-attacks. You will monitor and analyze threats using state-of-the-art tools to detect and respond to cybersecurity alerts while reviewing logs, tool outputs, and intelligence sources. Your daily responsibilities include investigating security events, following escalation processes, identifying improvements, and preparing informational reports. You will collaborate with a team to mitigate threats, restore operations, and identify patterns in attacker behavior. The role requires experience with DoD information systems, a Top Secret clearance, and the ability to support 24/7 shift work. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of ESS, ACAS, and DoD SIEM platforms, as well as familiarity with DoD STIGs, SRGs, and hardening guidance within the defense sector.

What you'll do

Monitor and analyze cybersecurity alerts using state-of-the-art security tools.
Review logs, tool outputs, and intelligence sources to investigate security events.
Follow established escalation processes to mitigate threats and restore operations quickly.
Analyze incidents to determine the scope of affected systems and assist in recovery efforts.
Combine threat intelligence and event data to identify attacker patterns and goals.
Prepare reports and informational documents regarding security findings and improvements.
Recommend security measures and process improvements based on identified risks.

What we're looking for

High school diploma or GED.
Top Secret clearance.
Experience with DoD information systems.
Ability to support 24/7 operations via a shift work schedule.
Experience with DoD STIGs and SRGs and hardening guidance (preferred).
Knowledge of ESS, ACAS, and DoD SIEM platforms (preferred).
Ability to work well on a team (preferred).
TS/SCI clearance or Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or Engineering (preferred).
