The Cyber Security Engineer Journeyman joins the team to support the USSOCOM Enterprise Development, Application and Training Zero Trust initiative. This position addresses the technical challenge of strengthening Department of Defense visibility and analytics through automated security orchestration.

What you'll do

Implement, configure, and maintain Microsoft security technologies within the Zero Trust architecture.
Administer and deploy Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview, Entra ID, and Logic Apps.
Configure and tune analytics rules, workbooks, dashboards, alerts, and automation workflows.
Support User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) capabilities.
Integrate security telemetry from Microsoft and third-party enterprise systems into the platform.
Perform RMF activities including documentation updates, security control implementation, and maintaining ATO artifacts.
Conduct vulnerability assessments, system hardening, and implement DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
Troubleshoot technical issues and participate in cybersecurity investigations and incident response activities.

What we're looking for

Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI) is required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
4 to 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Experience supporting enterprise cybersecurity, Microsoft security platforms, or systems engineering.
Experience administering or supporting Microsoft enterprise security solutions including Sentinel, Defender, Purview, Entra ID, Logic Apps, and Behavior Analytics.
Experience supporting SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, or security monitoring operations.
Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and familiarity with enterprise identity, endpoint, cloud, and security architectures.
DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
