The CX Machine Learning Engineer joins the Customer Experience Engineering organization to build next-generation AI-powered experiences through the Cisco IQ platform. In this role, you will architect, build, and scale enterprise-grade AI/ML and Generative AI solutions, including predictive models, RAG architectures, and autonomous agentic workflows. You will own robust data pipelines, low-latency model serving, and LLMOps infrastructure while establishing automated evaluation and observability frameworks. Key technologies include Python, Java, PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and XGBoost. You will also utilize LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, SQL, Spark, Kafka, and cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud. The work involves solving complex technical challenges to transform emerging AI technologies into secure, production-ready capabilities that provide measurable customer outcomes and reliable performance at scale.
Architect, build, and scale enterprise-grade AI/ML and Generative AI solutions for the Cisco IQ platform.
Develop predictive models, RAG architectures, and autonomous agentic workflows.
Own robust data pipelines and low-latency model serving infrastructure.

What we're looking for
Must have a Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of related experience or a Master’s degree with 4+ years of related experience.
Must have programming experience in Python and/or Java to design, develop, test, and deploy production-grade software applications and APIs.
Must have AI/ML experience developing, training, evaluating, and deploying models using frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
Must have Generative AI/LLM development experience including RAG, embeddings, prompt engineering, and tools like LangChain or OpenAI APIs.
Must have experience building data pipelines and data-intensive applications using SQL, Spark, Kafka, or cloud data platforms.
Preferred to have hands-on experience designing and building Generative AI and agentic AI applications including multi-agent workflows and vector databases.
Preferred to have experience with LLMOps/MLOps and AI evaluation tools such as LangSmith or MLflow.
Preferred to have experience building and deploying cloud-native AI/ML applications using AWS or Google Cloud with Docker and Kubernetes.
