JOB TITLE: Custom CAD Engineer As a Custom CAD Engineer within the HW Technology organization, you will join the Custom Infrastructure Support team to support digital, analog, and mixed-signal designs. Your primary responsibilities include providing full support for Cadence custom flows, tool development, installation, and maintenance. You will work closely with design and layout teams to develop utilities and scripts, support Virtuoso Layout and schematic software, and drive design methodology to increase productivity. You will also handle tool configuration, test development, automation, and regression flow support while maintaining relevant documentation. The role requires proficiency in Unix/Linux OS, scripting languages like Skill, Perl, and Tcl, and experience with Cadence Composer Virtuoso, VXL, PCELLs, and CDFs to support the development of high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip designs.

What you'll do

Provide full support for Cadence custom flows, tool development, installation, and maintenance.
Develop utilities and scripts to support the design team's workflow.
Support Virtuoso Layout and schematic software and release flows based on revision control systems.
Drive design methodology to increase overall productivity.
Support tool configuration, application, and general CAD services.
Perform test development, automation, and regression flow support.
Create and maintain relevant technical documentation.

What we're looking for

BS degree in a relevant technical discipline.
0-2+ years of experience in analog and digital new product development IC CAD support using EDA tools.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience supporting Cadence Composer Virtuoso, Layout tools, VXL, PCELLs, and CDFs (preferred).
Experience in programming languages such as DFII, Skill, Perl, and Tcl (preferred).
Proficiency with Unix / Linux OS, utilities, and scripting (preferred).
