JOB TITLE: Cryptographic Engineer The Cryptographic Engineer joins the security team to manage and maintain essential services related to encryption keys, digital certificates, remote key managers, and Public Key Infrastructure. The role involves troubleshooting operational issues, responding to client requests, and managing AWS-hosted platforms for centralized storage, issuance, and revocation. Key responsibilities include administering the Utimaco Enterprise Secure Key Lifecycle platform, Thales CipherTrust Manager, Venafi, and internal Active Directory Certificate Services. The engineer will also partner with cloud platform teams to support Amazon Certificate Manager, AWS Key Management Service, and Azure Key Vault. Required expertise includes cryptographic principles, digital certificate management, and experience with PowerShell or Python. This position ensures secure operations by maintaining compliance with security policies and best practices across various cloud and on-premise infrastructure environments.

What you'll do

  • Manage and maintain services related to encryption keys, digital certificates, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
  • Troubleshoot operational issues for encryption key and certificate-related tools and services.
  • Provide on-call support to respond to client requests for encryption keys and digital certificates.
  • Manage AWS-hosted platforms for centralized storage, issuance, and revocation of keys and certificates.
  • Perform installations, patching, upgrades, vulnerability management, backups, and data migrations for cloud platforms.
  • Administer the Enterprise Secure Key Lifecycle (ESKM) and CipherTrust Manager (CTM) platforms.
  • Manage the internal Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) platform and Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS).
  • Support Amazon Certificate Manager (ACM), AWS Key Management Service (KMS), and Azure Key Vault.

What we're looking for

  • High School Diploma and 8 years of experience in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Security.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher and experience in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Security.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
  • Proven experience with AWS as an engineer or architect (preferred).
  • Proven experience managing encryption platforms such as ESKM and CipherTrust Manager (preferred).
  • Proven experience managing PKI with hands-on experience administering Microsoft ADCS (preferred).
  • Proven experience with cloud-based services such as ACM, AWS KMS, and Azure Key Vault (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar (preferred).
