CPU Silicon Validation Engineer

As a CPU Silicon Validation Engineer, you will join a team responsible for the functional validation of CPUs to identify logic design and circuit bugs. You will collaborate with RTL and DV teams to engineer test content for new features, create comprehensive validation test plans, and develop software workloads to stress test the hardware. Your daily work involves maintaining random test generators by adding support for architectural and microarchitectural features while spearheading silicon bring-up efforts across pre-silicon FPGAs and post-silicon development boards. The role requires proficiency in C, C++, Python, or Perl, along with a deep understanding of CPU architecture including instruction sets, pipelines, caches, and memory subsystems. You will also utilize knowledge of assembly programming, operating system fundamentals like kernel execution and memory management, and the logic design and verification process to debug functional silicon failures.
