CPU Silicon Validation Engineer

As a CPU Silicon Validation Engineer, you will join the team responsible for the functional validation of CPUs to identify logic design and circuit bugs. You will collaborate with RTL and DV teams to understand design changes, develop test content using internal generators, and define new test cases for cutting-edge designs. Your daily responsibilities include creating validation test plans, developing software workloads to stress test the CPU, and maintaining random test generators by adding support for architectural features. You will drive silicon bring-up and execution across pre-silicon FPGAs and post-silicon development boards while debugging functional failures. The role requires expertise in CPU architecture, including instruction sets, pipelines, caches, and memory subsystems. Required skills include programming in C or C++, scripting in Python or Perl, and knowledge of assembly programming and operating system fundamentals like kernel execution.
