CPU Product Application Engineer

What you'll do

• Manage technical interactions with key customers to enable the deployment of AMD EPYC CPUs in their systems.
• Support customers during the bring-up and validation of CPUs using AMD tools and qualification test methods.
• Lead the debug of customer-reported hardware and firmware issues by driving root cause investigations with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with customers to develop manufacturing and screen tests to ensure reliability at scale.
• Identify gaps in AMD offerings based on customer requirements and work with stakeholders to close them.
• Author design guidelines, technical presentations, and training materials for customers and internal teams.
• Provide technical recommendations to improve the customer experience with AMD software and hardware.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills and debug methodology to solve tough problems.
• Strong oral and written communication skills to communicate technical results clearly and accurately.
• Experience in customer-facing roles such as application engineering for Data Center CPU (preferred).
• Strong knowledge in server and data center system architecture and interfaces, including DDR, PCIe, SPI/eSPI, and I3C/I2C (preferred).
• Strong knowledge in electrical validation and signal integrity of high speed signals (preferred).
• Strong System Level debugging skills with hands-on experience in system bring-up, HW debug, and performance optimizations (preferred).
• Experience with Enterprise Linux environments, server firmware/BIOS, and programming languages like C/C++ or Python (preferred).
