The CPU Power Engineer joins the CPU team to focus on power modeling, reduction, and correlating pre-silicon expectations with post-silicon measurements. In this role, you will generate ideas in micro-architecture and circuits to reduce power, drive budgeting and analysis for various use cases, and collaborate with micro-architects and physical designers to identify optimization opportunities. You will also work with software and platform teams to define power management features and perform silicon tuning. The ideal candidate possesses broad knowledge of VLSI design, manufacturing, circuit analysis, and logic design principles while understanding high-performance CPU architecture trade-offs. Required technical skills include strong CMOS design and analysis capabilities, solid programming and Python scripting experience, and hands-on lab experience characterizing power management features to ensure efficient performance across current and future CPU designs.
