What you'll do

  • Drive the planning, design, and implementation of clock systems for CPU designs.
  • Build simulation models for clock behavior and performance.
  • Perform detailed analysis of clock signals and timing.
  • Execute physical design tasks for specific blocks within the processor.
  • Develop scripts in Perl and TCL to automate tasks and improve engineering efficiency.
  • Implement clock specifications based on industry standards and requirements.
  • Ensure reliability and low power optimization for clock cell designs.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Programming and scripting experience in Perl and TCL.
  • Experience with physical design, analysis, and verification on large processor or SoC designs (preferred).
  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices in physical design, analysis, and physical verification (preferred).
  • Experience developing and implementing clock specifications (preferred).
  • Solid knowledge of low power design, physical construction, Spice, formal verification, physical verification, and DFM (preferred).
  • Understanding of std cell architecture, design, characterization flows, and reliability aspects of clock cell design (preferred).
  • Knowledge of extraction/STA methodology, computer architecture, and layout design (preferred).
