What you'll do

  • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Update documentation including electrical schematics, control narratives, and standard operating procedures.
  • Write, test, and debug PLC and HMI control logic.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, control, and process-related issues in industrial environments.
  • Support the validation, installation, commissioning, and startup of automation projects.
  • Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of manufacturing electrical systems.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience in electrical, controls, or automation engineering (co-op or internship experience acceptable).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow into increased technical responsibilities.
  • Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of electrical concepts, control systems, NEC requirements, automation safety standards, and ability to read/develop electrical schematics (AutoCAD experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and common industrial electrical components (sensors, VFDs, motors, relays, PLC I/O).
