Computer Scientist, Mid joins the National Security team to drive complex data exploration and analytics projects for the Intelligence Community. This role involves building advanced AI/ML models, including tools leveraging LLMs or agentic AI, while performing data retrieval, cleaning, modeling, and accuracy testing. The successful candidate will translate technical findings into visual and written narratives for non-technical leadership to highlight system risks. Key technical requirements include experience with programming languages like R, Python, and SQL/NoSQL; distributed computing tools such as MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL; and visualization packages including Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2. What we're looking for
Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience with scientific techniques such as mathematics, statistics, information science, AI, machine learning, probability modeling, data mining, data engineering, or data warehousing.
7+ years of experience with scientific techniques in lieu of a degree.
3+ years of experience correlating complex technical findings into graphical, written, visual, and verbal narrative products.
Experience building advanced analytics and AI/ML models, including tools leveraging LLMs or agentic AI, data retrieval, cleaning, modeling, evaluation, and visualization.
Experience working on classified networks in support of DoW or IC clients.
Ability to visualize complex data for non-technical leadership while highlighting system risks and "go or no-go" criteria.
2+ years of experience with R, Python, SQL/NoSQL, distributed data tools (Hadoop, Spark, etc.), Machine Learning, AI, NLP, or visualization packages (preferred).
