JOB TITLE: Computer Scientist, Mid As a Computer Scientist, Mid on the National Security team, you will steer complex data exploration and analytics projects to support the Intelligence Community. You will build advanced analytics and AI/ML models, specifically leveraging LLMs or agentic AI, while performing data retrieval, cleaning, modeling, and accuracy testing. Your daily work involves operationalizing models, managing data architecture, and utilizing cloud computing platforms. You will use programming languages and tools including R, Python, SQL/NoSQL, MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, and MySQL. Additionally, you will employ visualization packages like Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2 to translate technical findings into narratives for non-technical leadership. This role solves critical problems by applying innovative predictive modeling and machine learning methodologies to achieve actionable results within a national security context.

What you'll do

Build advanced analytics and AI/ML models leveraging LLMs or agentic AI.
Perform data retrieval, cleaning, modeling, and accuracy evaluation/testing.
Steer complex data exploration and analytics projects for Intelligence Community clients.
Operationalize models using containerization, data architecture, and cloud computing platforms.
Visualize complex data and concepts for non-technical leadership to highlight system risks.
Correlate complex technical findings into graphical, written, and verbal narrative products.
Develop algorithms using programming languages such as R, Python, or SQL/NoSQL.
Author patents, peer-reviewed papers, and code submissions to shape the future of analytics.

What we're looking for

3+ years of experience correlating complex technical findings into graphical, written, visual, and verbal narrative products.
Experience building advanced analytics and AI/ML models, including LLMs, agentic AI, data retrieval, cleaning, and accuracy testing.
Experience working on classified networks in support of DoW or IC clients.
Ability to visualize complex data for non-technical leadership and articulate system risks and "go or no-go" criteria.
Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience with scientific techniques such as mathematics, statistics, AI, or data engineering.
7+ years of experience with scientific techniques such as mathematics, statistics, AI, or data engineering in lieu of a degree.
2+ years of experience in algorithm development using R, Python, or SQL/NoSQL (preferred).
