TL;DR · Commissioning Engineer (Starlink)

As a Commissioning Engineer at the Redmond Facilities critical infrastructure team, you will design and build advanced manufacturing facilities by developing automated solutions for rapid R&D, production, and asset management. Your daily tasks include programming Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) like Honeywell and Delta Controls, optimizing system graphics and alarms, and installing IFM IO-Link sensors for real-time monitoring. You’ll also collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure secure network architecture while designing SCADA systems for critical utilities such as power distribution and compressed air. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience in automation and controls systems, proficiency in HVAC control sequences, and knowledge of industrial communication protocols like BACnet and Modbus. This role requires hands-on work in various environments and occasional travel.

What you'll do

  • Design, program, and maintain Building Automation Systems (BAS) using platforms like Honeywell.
  • Configure system graphics, alarms, trends, schedules, and point databases within BAS/BMS platforms.
  • Develop control sequences of operation for HVAC systems to improve performance and energy efficiency.
  • Install, integrate, and maintain IFM IO-Link sensors and devices for advanced telemetry and monitoring.
  • Provide commissioning support for new infrastructure, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and operational handover.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in designing and commissioning automation and controls systems for industrial applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) platforms like Honeywell and Delta Controls.
  • Proficiency in developing control sequences of operation for HVAC and facility utility systems to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Experience with SCADA systems for monitoring and controlling critical utilities such as power, compressed air, and chilled water.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, OPC UA, and Ethernet/IP.
