Cloudera Engineer

What you'll do

• Deploy and develop data pipelines and platforms to organize disparate data sources.
• Manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable data platforms.
• Design data pipeline architectures for security operations, including log collection and normalization.
• Deploy platforms across cloud, on-premises, and disconnected environments using Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Perform Linux system administration tasks including networking, services, and role-based permissions.
• Use configuration management and DevOps tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform.
• Analyze logs and system performance to resolve service dependencies and anomalies.
• Implement data engineering activities within highly structured and classified environments.

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or GED.
• Top Secret clearance.
• 5+ years of experience with Linux System Administration activities including command-line operations, networking, and role-based permissions.
• 5+ years of experience with large-scale data systems such as traditional data warehouses, ETL pipelines, or cloud platforms.
• 3+ years of experience designing data pipeline architectures for security operations.
• Experience deploying platforms across cloud, on-premises, and disconnected environments using Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Experience with configuration management or DevOps tooling such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform.
• Experience with highly structured, controlled, classified, or compartmented environments with strict access enforcement.
• Knowledge of zero trust principles, DoD and IC cybersecurity frameworks, and federal compliance standards.
• 3+ years of experience with defensive cyber operations, cybersecurity engineering, or security platform architecture (preferred).
• Experience with DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines in IL6 or IL7 environments (preferred).
• Experience with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages for automating system operations tasks (preferred).
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph (preferred).
• DoD 8140 baseline Certification, such as Security+, CISSP, CISSP-ISSEP, or CASP+ (preferred).
