Cloud Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, build, and operate full-stack cloud components and web applications on AWS and GCP.
• Build a web-based developer console and foundational services for managing and deploying Lenses.
• Own production services end-to-end, including SLOs, capacity planning, and incident response.
• Engineer infrastructure with strong isolation, encryption, and access-control guarantees for wearable device security.
• Onboard internal product and engineering teams onto new platform capabilities to meet their requirements.
• Ensure infrastructure meets data protection and regulatory obligations by collaborating with Security and Privacy partners.
• Shape the long-term technical direction of the Specs cloud platform.

What we're looking for

• BS/MS in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems and cloud infrastructure at scale on AWS.
• Proficiency in Go and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Production experience with full-stack web development using React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Experience with containerization and cloud tooling including Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience operating workloads on GCP and familiarity with multi-cloud and multi-region architectures (preferred).
• Experience building developer portals or web consoles with a focus on UX/DX and frontend design (preferred).
• Working knowledge of C++, Java, and Python (preferred).
