As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) on Oracle’s critical database services team, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of mission-critical systems with a focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance. Your day-to-day tasks include partnering with development teams to define and implement improvements in service architecture, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring end-to-end operability. You will leverage your expertise in Oracle Database, Linux, Terraform, RMAN, Exadata, and Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance to build automation and design software that enhances the availability, scalability, and efficiency of cloud services. This role requires extensive experience with infrastructure cloud services, a strong background in database management, and proficiency in languages such as Python, Perl, Unix Shell, SQL, PL/SQL, or Rust. You must be an active TS/SCI cleared U.S. citizen capable of handling the demands of shift work and weekend availability.

What we're looking for

Must be a U.S. citizen with active TS/SCI clearance
10+ years of experience in SRE managing production cloud services
Expertise in Oracle Database, Linux, and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
Proven ability to design and deploy software for large-scale distributed systems
Experience in capacity planning, performance analysis, and system tuning
Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical guidance
Knowledge of general-purpose programming languages like Python or SQL
