What you'll do

  • Design and implement backend services for accounting, tax, and procurement operations while ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Build systems with integrated audit trails, access controls, and data governance to meet multi-jurisdictional requirements.
  • Direct AI agents across the full development lifecycle to automate engineering tasks and improve code quality.
  • Lead technical discussions on architecture, design reviews, and mentoring to improve team standards for reliability and testing.

What we're looking for

  • Experience with working on complex systems and delivering quality software in at least one technical area.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining APIs and integrations using REST, gRPC, event-driven architectures, and data synchronization.
  • Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design to handle high throughput, manage state, and ensure graceful degradation.
  • Experience with workflow or state machine systems featuring complex lifecycles, branching logic, and SLAs.
  • Experience working on financially sensitive or regulated systems involving idempotency, audit trails, and access controls.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements from non-technical stakeholders into well-scoped engineering work.
  • Familiarity with agentic engineering and an AI-first mentality for the development lifecycle (preferred).
  • Experience with platform migrations, financial services domains, multi-tenant platforms, or operational analytics (preferred).
