Software Engineer, Finance Applications

What you'll do

• Design and implement backend services for accounting, tax, and procurement to ensure corporate compliance.
• Architect the migration of business-critical workflows from legacy vendor platforms to internal systems with zero disruption.
• Build configurable workflow engines and event-driven automations to reduce manual effort across business lines.
• Design and maintain end-to-end integrations between internal platforms and external systems using APIs and messaging patterns.
• Translate complex financial and regulatory requirements from stakeholders into well-architected technical solutions.
• Build systems with integrated audit trails, access controls, and data governance to meet multi-jurisdictional requirements.
• Direct AI agents across the full development lifecycle to prototype, implement, and debug software.
• Lead technical discussions to drive architecture decisions and mentor engineers on code quality and reliability.

What we're looking for

• Have experience working on complex systems and delivering quality software.
• Possess strong fundamentals in distributed systems design for high throughput and state management.
• Have experience with workflow or state machine systems involving complex lifecycles and branching logic.
• Demonstrate proficiency in building and maintaining APIs and integrations using REST, gRPC, and event-driven architectures.
• Have experience working on financially sensitive or regulated systems with a focus on idempotency and audit trails.
• Possess strong collaboration skills to translate ambiguous business requirements from non-technical stakeholders into engineering work.
• Familiarity with agentic engineering and an AI-first mentality to augment development capabilities.
• Experience with platform migrations, financial services domains, or multi-tenant platforms (preferred).
